About Grace
Welcome, friend!
My name is Grace Gochnauer and I started Grace Goes Vet as an Instagram account to document my pre-veterinary and veterinary school journey. Don't worry, there will not be a quiz on how my last name is pronounced! We're on a strictly first name basis (& I fully plan on my future clients calling me Dr. Grace!)

I graduated in May 2024 from Purdue University with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and am now a veterinary student at North Carolina State University as a member of the Class Of 2028! At the CVM I am highly involved, including serving in class government, being a VETS (Veterinary Educational Textbooks and Supplies) class representative, the SAVMA Symposium 2026 Fundraising Chair, an ambassador/tour guide for the college, and as a DVM 360º ambassador.

I have a bit of a stereotypical story— the little girl who always wanted to be a vet. Who could blame me? I was raised in Lancaster, PA on a small farmette carried down generation-to-generation for over 100 years. I was surrounded by hardworking people in agriculture that loved what they did unapologetically and that is exactly what planted the seed that bloomed into who I am now Outside of veterinary medicine, I was the President and founding member of MeToo Purdue, giving a voice to sexual assault survivors and sharing my own story, as well as sat on a board for an upcoming non-profit, The Campus Candle Collective, with a similar mission to MeToo.

I am a cat mom, musician (yay, soprano 1s & piano players!), believer in Jesus, future equine/emergency vet, book nerd, author, previously-english-major girl. I love PEOPLE, dill pickles, a nice hot london fog, Harry Styles, pastel pink/purple, coveralls, OliPop soda, and Penn State football. There– now we know each other!

I can't wait to learn what makes YOU, YOU. Thank you for being here on my little journey. <3
